Coronavirus...So much chatter, so much slanted viewpoints in one direction or another...

I have been reading the articles and news blurbs, and the one I ry to focus on is the one that suggested we try to not become over-axious, stressed out over it. That does not help…to take precautions is definitely wise. To keep our hands washed, be careful in public spaces, step gentley away from that guy who is sneezing or coughing next to you…

But this morning I read an article by Robin Wright, a columnist for the New York Times, that opened up a whole new area of thought for me about the epidemic. The article was about the outbreak of the virus in Iran, and my thoughts wandered quickly from that land, to other lands close by - Syria, Tehran…and the heart-breaking news pieces I saw recently about the refugees, the little children freezing to death in those lands because of insufficient clothing, shoes, etc. Can you imagine how the virus would affect a community like that? And who is there to help THEM, to take care of them? The world has shattered into tiny pieces and the winds of division and cold-heartedness have blown the pieces in all directions. I wonder if humanity will ever come back together again.
